About Us

Hello, we are Jim & Dawn Ziarkowski, owners of K9 Country Club. We are a full-service dog boarding facility located in Waukesha, WI that serves Waukesha, New Berlin, Brookfield, Mukwonago and surrounding areas. Founded in 2017, K9 Country Club specializes in dog boarding and offers a variety of services that are tailored to your dog’s needs. We grew up with dogs and understand the importance of your furry family member! We have shared our dog enthusiasm for over 25 years and have significant experience with a lot of breeds to include German Shepherd, Malinois, Caucasian Shepherd, Czechoslovakian Vlcak (wolfdog), and many more. Our love and understanding of dogs made us a perfect fit to be kennel owners and we have 6 furry children of our own! Our goal is to make your dog feel at home through individual attention and love for each guest.

This place is truly amazing and life changing. Our 10 month old German Shepherd had so much aggression towards everyone but his family in the home; from the Ups guy, to the people in the neighborhood walking past the house; to the little old lady next door who would walk past the back window. He would jump at the door, and bark at it all. It came a time were my fiancé (at the time) and had a trip planned to Florida to get married. Our only issue was our dog, where could we leave him that long, and who would he actually allow to get close to him. That’s when we found this place online, we contact Jim the owner. He was more than thrilled to take this challenge of a dog on. We had 3 meet and greats with Jim before the initial drop off, Jim had so many stories from other dogs he has trained. We felt confident with Jim the moment we met him. Our dog Bear still was not 100% with him when we dropped him off but those 3 meet and greats Bear started to warm up to him. We dropped Bear off with Jim to head to Florida for our wedding. We texted Jim to check up on Bear and he was always responsive and he assured us Bear was doing great and he could finally get close with to him just after 2 days. Bear was only supposed to be there for 11 days but I ended up needed emergency surgery in Florida, which ended up us having to stay a few extra days, we texted Jim and he was more then happy to keep Bear the extra time we needed. The day came for us to pick Bear up, my husband went to go get Bear, when he walked in that’s when he saw Jim, and Bear running with the biggest dog smile on his face around the yard. My husband could see the bond that Bear and Jim formed over those 14 days, and he honestly couldn’t believe the difference he saw in our once so angry at everything German Shepard. We already see a difference in his anger towards those random walking neighbors. He truly helped us, and we can not thank him enough. This is the only place we will take our German Shepard, Jim is trustworthy and so willing to take on any challenge because he knows how to work with dogs that lack confidence. The bond Jim and Bear developed is so transpiring. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone. Thank you again Jim!!
